Todd Hurst, MD

R. Todd Hurst,MD, FACC, FASE

Dr. R. Todd Hurst has been a Board Certified Cardiologist since 2004.  His passion is bringing Better Health to Everyone at Every Stage of Their Life.


Originally from New Mexico, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic.


For over 12 years he was a Consultant in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Arizona.


Dr. Hurst was also, during said 12 year period,  an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.

Dr. Hurst is the founding Director of the Heart, Health and Performance Program and the Carla J. and Russell P. Paonessa Chair, Wellness and Health Education at the Mayo Medical School, Arizona Campus.

 Recently accepting the Position of Director of Cardiovascular Health at the University of Arizona/Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix, Dr. Hurst is creating new and innovative programs for the Banner System.


Dr. Hurst, as an Associate Professor of Medicine, has over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals and regularly speaks nationally and internationally on the subject of prevention of heart disease.
